1. What is COP25, where and when will it take place?

The COP25 is the twenty-fifth Conference of the Parties on climate change, sponsored by the UN, held every year since 1995. This time the meeting will be held in Chile, in the City Park Bicentennial of Cerrillos, located in the metropolitan area of Santiago de Chile, between December 2 and 13, 2019. President Sebastián Piñera has expressed Chile’s commitment “to progress towards sustainable development and highlighted the importance of civic engagement and education to combat climate change, as well as the implementation of mitigation and adaptation policies.”
