10. Where is Fiji and what are its most important data?
Fiji is a parliamentary republic located in an island group of Oceania in the Pacific Ocean, 4 hours flight from Eastern Australia and 3 hours from Northeast New Zealand. It has an approximate area of 7 thousand square miles. It is the country number 156 in size of the world. Its population for 2015 was something more than 900 thousand inhabitants. Its capital is Suva, but Nasinu is the city of greater population. Tourism accounts for about 25% of GDP. Tourists come mostly from Australia, New Zealand or the United States. Agriculture is of great importance to the country. The main products are sugar, coconut, cocoa, ginger, rice and tobacco. Livestock has relevance, especially cattle, dairy products, pork and poultry.
